Young Toddlers

Young toddlers are eager to explore and discover the world around them. At this stage, they undergo many developmental changes and begin to assert their independence. They become more self-aware, recognizing the names of familiar people and objects. In our classroom, we’ll encourage them to explore and try new things, respond to wanted behaviors, and help develop their language skills. We encourage their curiosity and will provide a safe nurturing environment to help them grow.

Ages 12 months - 24 months

In our young toddler classroom, we will establish a predictable routine to help them feel safe and confident. They will engage in a variety of activities, such as story time (singing songs, reciting nursery rhymes, reading stories, and sorting shapes and colors), continue to develop fine motor skills (through painting, coloring, and block play), and participating in dramatic play (dress-up, dolls, and pretend cooking). Additionally, we will provide games that promote language development, encouraging them to express themselves more confidently.
